Panama will participate in the International Tourism Fair – FITUR 2022 from January 19 to 23


Panama, as a world-class tourist destination, will once again be present at the International Tourism Fair – FITUR 2022, one of the most important in the world and the first annual event for tourism professionals, in which it hopes to consolidate commercial alliances to attract visitors to the country and favor the reactivation of this sector.

FITUR 2022, which will take place between January 19 and 23 in Madrid, Spain, will have the participation of the Panama Tourism Authority, PROMTUR PANAMA and PROPANAMA, Y will allow the country to continue its promotion as a sustainable destination; becoming, in addition, a fundamental tool to connect Panamanian tourism companies with buyers from the main European markets.

Similarly, Fondevila mentioned that “Panama will be participating for the 3rd consecutive year, in FITUR MICE, a segment within the framework of the fair that allows connecting with buyers and sellers of the meeting industry. We will be highlighting, in this space, the strategic position of Panama, its unparalleled connectivity and wide range of hotels and services; as well as the new convention center and the authentic tourist experiences that the country offers”.

Participation in fairs, such as FITUR, is a fundamental tool for marketing the destination, in 2021 PROMTUR Panama promoted the destination in 18 international fairs related to both the vacation segment and the meetings and business events segment. During these fairs, more than 1,700 appointments were made between Panamanian suppliers and international buyers, with business opportunities reported by more than 21 million Balboas.

In the 42nd edition of FITUR, destinations will seek to promote themselves, present new products, find out about the latest trends and fill agendas with contacts and perspectives. The organizers of FITUR expect the participation of more than 60,000 professionals and 7,000 companies from 107 countries, making it one of the largest fairs in the world.
