Sánchez and Aragonès had agreed to meet in Moncloa throughout the month of June to resume negotiations between their respective governments, before resuming the work of the dialogue table.

The meeting has been set for 5:00 p.m., after the meeting of the Council of Ministers that will be held that day and the day before Sánchez appears before the plenary session of Congress to report on the pardons granted to the independence leaders who remained with prison sentences.

As reported by Moncloa, in both meetings, as was the case with the one held by Sánchez with the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, the President of the Government will dialogue with his interlocutors on the most “important and urgent” issues of his respective territories, “understanding these meetings as a necessary exchange on the main needs and aspirations of the citizens of Catalonia and Madrid”.

The prisoners have left the jail this noon

The nine prisoners of the procés have left the prisons in which they have been for the last three and a half years this Wednesday, after having received pardons from the Government. The prisons of Lledoners, Wad-Ras and Puig de les Basses, among which the independence leaders were distributed, have received from the Supreme Court the interlocutory that reported on the application of the grace measures, which makes the freedom of the inmates effective . A delegation headed by the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, and the vice president Jordi Puigneró received the prisoners at the gates of the Lledoners prison.

The seven men inmates in the prison in the center of Catalonia have signed the release orders and have said goodbye to the rest of the prisoners with hugs. As planned, at noon they crossed the exit door and were reunited with their loved ones, who were waiting for them outside. Oriol Junqueras, Jordi Sànchez, Jordi Cuixart, Raül Romeva, Jordi Turull, Josep Rull and Quim Forn have left prison behind holding a banner with the message “Freedom for Catalonia” and a pro-independence flag.
