Perseverance Captures a Unique Rock Formation on Mars | Digital Trends Spanish

Right now, NASA has two vehicles exploring the surface of Mars. These are the Perseverance rover and the Ingenuity helicopter, which arrived on the Red Planet on a special mission in February.

Perseverance, whose goal is to find traces of microbial life on the planet, captured images of a rare rock formation in an ancient lake bed, according to information shared with NASA that published the record on the robot’s official Twitter account.

After an extensive journey through space that spanned six months, Perseverance reached Mars on February 18, landing in the Jezero crater, which scientists say was once flooded with water and was home to a river delta.

For its part, Ingenuity made its first flight on April 19 that ended up being historic, since it was the first controlled flight of an aircraft outside the Earth.

Meanwhile, in early July it completed its ninth flight on Mars.

There is a high expectation about the work that both robots carry out on the Martian surface, especially in the face of a possible discovery of samples that confirm that at some point, this planet met the conditions to be habitable.
