PODCAST | The Netflix crisis: what will the future of television look like in the future?

Today we recover one of the most listened to episodes of the first season of ‘Un tema al Día’. We talked about series and movie platforms: when the confinement ended, more than 70% of Spaniards had access to some payment platform to watch series and movies. Amazon Prime, HBO, Disney+ and, above all, Netflix have filled endless hours and hours of leisure with catalogs. But the bubble does not give for more.

We spoke with Elena Neira, a Communication professor at the UOC and an expert on platforms, and with Laura Pérez, a Vertele journalist specializing in series.

*** This episode first aired on April 29, 2022. ***

You will also have it available every morning on the rest of the platforms.
