Portobello, the firm of Iñigo Sánchez Asiain, buys the technology consultancy Warpcom

Portobello, the private equity fund chaired by Iñigo Sánchez Asiaín, has acquired the Portuguese technology consultancy Warpcom for a figure that would reach 15 million euros, according to ‘Cinco Días’. In this way, the fund increases the potential of one of its investees, Evolutio (BT’s former business in Spain), which it acquired in 2020.

The technology consultancy Warpcom, which has a turnover of 29 million euros with an ebitda of 2.5 million, becomes part of the Portobello portfolio that was imposed in a bid against companies such as MásMovil, Orange, Carlyle or Aurelius Capital.

Sánchez Asiain’s firm controls 80% of BT’s old business in our country, while teleco maintains 20%. After this acquisition, Portobello created Evolutio to manage the company’s assets in telecommunications, cloud or cybersecurity, providing services to different companies.

With the acquisition of Warpcom, it reinforces Evolutio’s range of services and strengthens its presence in Portugal by expanding its portfolio of clients and services.
