Netflix released a preview of what will be its long-awaited series Cyberpunk 2077 which will be released in September and will contain ten chapters.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a series where the developers of CD Projekt Red have been very involved. The animation section has been in charge of Studio Trigger, whom you may know thanks to series like kill la kill either Little Witch Academia.

This animated series tells the story of a boy who lives on the streets of a futuristic city obsessed with technology and body modification. With everything against him, he chooses to make a living by becoming an ‘edgerunner’, an outlaw mercenary also known as ‘cyberpunk’. CD Projekt RED, the company responsible for the video game ‘Cyberpunk 2077’, is in charge of the production of the series, with a creative team of professionals who participated in ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ and ‘Cyberpunk 2077’. The CD Projekt RED team has been working on this new series since 2018. Acclaimed Japanese animation company Studio Trigger will be animating and bringing the world of Cyberpunk to life in their distinctive and vibrant style. Hiroyuki Imaishi (‘Gurren Lagann’, ‘Kill la Kill’, ‘Promare’) will direct the series along with assistant director Masahiko Otsuka (‘Gurren Lagann’, ‘Promare’), creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi (‘Kill la Kill ‘), character designer Yoh Yoshinari (‘Little Witch Academia’, ‘BNA’), and Yuto Kaneko (‘Little Witch Academia’). Yoshiki Usa (‘SSSS.GRIDMAN’, ‘Promare’) and Masahiko Otsuka (‘Gurren Lagann’, ‘Kill la Kill’, ‘Promare’) are adapting the script. Akira Yamaoka (‘Silent Hill’ video game series) is the composer of the original soundtrack.
