Ramón Cerdeiras, Luis Peñarrocha and Norberto Arrate, the three Portobello partners who join the Legalitas Council


These are three founding partners of the ‘private equity’ company, such as Ramón Cerdeiras, Luis Penarrocha Y Norberto Arrate. The intention of Portobello is that in addition to these executives, independent directors with extensive experience in the sector join the Legalitas board.

Ramón Cerdeiras, founding partner of Portobello, is a state attorney and has been a professor at the Instituto de Empresa, member of the Civil and Mercantile Court of Arbitration, of the Advisory Committee of the National Securities Market Commission and President of the Spanish Capital Association Risk. In addition, he is part of different councils such as Angulas Aguinaga or Mediterránea among others.

Norberto Arrate joined Portobello as a partner in 2013 and has an MBA from Columbia Business School. In addition to a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from Deusto.

For his part, Luis Peñarrocha, also one of the founding partners of the company, has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Higher Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

The Legálitas purchase operation represents the largest transaction in the ‘legaltech’ segment in Spain in recent years. Legálitas has more than 20 years of experience in the sector and has shown significant growth in recent months, with the forecast of closing this year with more than 50 million revenues and 25% more in its subscription business.
