Satellite photos show chaos at Afghanistan airport | Digital Trends Spanish

The unfortunate events that have occurred in Afghanistan in recent days due to the withdrawal of US troops have also been seen from space. Images captured by satellites show the magnitude of the traffic jams at the Kabul airport, in an attempt to get on planes and escape the country.

The photos were published on social media by Maxar Technologies, a space technology company that manufactures and controls satellites and their communications services. And in such photos you can see the number of people who arrived at the Hamid Karzai International Airport, in the capital of Afghanistan.

In the wake of the chaos, the Afghan authorities canceled all commercial flights that were scheduled to depart from Kabul. At the same time, the airport has had to be divided into two: one part for commercial flights and another for military aircraft flights, which the United States Army has used to remove its troops from the Asian country.

All of this occurs as the Taliban movement takes control of the country, after the collapse of the Afghan government and after almost two decades of US presence in the country.
