Several areas of Panama Oeste will be without water this Monday due to maintenance work

Several sectors in the province of Panama Oeste, will remain without the supply of drinking water this Monday, December 6 due to corrective maintenance work on transformers of 750 kilowatts (KW, for its acronym in English) and 25 KW of raw water intake, which will be carried out at the Chame water treatment plant.

As reported by Institute of National Aqueducts and Sewers (Idaan), the work to be carried out by the Consorcio Electromecánico company, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm

The areas affected with the suspension of the water supply or with low pressure are: Chame, Bejuco, Gorgona, Coronado and Punta Barco.

According to the Idaan, once the works are completed, the Chame water treatment plant will maintain its production at 100% and the system will be gradually recovering in the affected areas.

The authorities indicate that the objective of these tasks is to optimize the production process of the water treatment plant.
