a shocking sandstorm that reached up to 86 kilometers per hour hit the city of Mexicali in Baja California, leaving some fallen structures and minor damage.

However, records of the surprising phenomenon abounded in social networks. One of the most extraordinary was a video recorded in the parking lot of the Autonomous University of Durango, where a wall of a building can be seen giving way due to the force of the storm.

Likewise, damage was reported at different points in Mexicali. “At the moment, the State Civil Protection Coordination is dealing with the incidents, mostly falling branches and some structures,” communicated the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar. “No injuries are reported as of now,” she added.
