Sony LinkBuds, the new ring-shaped headphones | Digital Trends Spanish

Sony has just turned one of the segments in which it is a specialist on its head by presenting its new headphones with a design very different from what we were used to.

The new LinkBuds have an open ring design for audio transparency, plus they weigh just four grams. Unlike ordinary headphones, the protective surface covering the speaker diaphragm in this model is built into the speaker diaphragm, thereby saving more space and creating a more compact device.

Both the headphones and their charging case are made from recycled plastic materials from vehicles, and will come in two colors, dark gray and white. Thanks to their design it is not necessary to insert them into the ear, so they are much more hygienic than the usual models. In addition, they have IPX4 protection against splashes of water and sweat and prevent the accumulation of moisture in the ear.

The size of this model is 50 percent smaller than the Sony WF-1000XM4, the most recent true wireless that the company launched on the market. Sony LinkBuds feature adaptive sound control that automatically optimizes volume based on where you are, and an option called Speak-to-Chat, which automatically pauses playback as soon as you start talking to someone.

Finally, mention that they can be connected to several devices, but not simultaneously. The LinkBuds will be available from February 2022 at an approximate price of 180 euros (about $200 dollars to change).
