After its appearance at CES 2022, Sony returns to the fray with the presentation of its news in audio, photography and television. In this last section, it not only shows new models, but also the technologies they have.
Sony A95K
The new Sony Bravia XR Master Series A95K is the first model to feature the new QD-OLED panel. As Sony explains, this type of display is capable of offering a wider color palette thanks to the Cognitive Processor XR, the processor developed by the company that was released last year.
This chip reproduces shadows and tones more naturally to the human eye, as well as providing more vivid colors and more realistic textures at all brightness levels. During live samples with Sony, we found that the tones actually look more intense, especially the reds and greens.
This model will be available in spring in 55 and 65 inches.
Sony A90K
Sony also showed the Bravia XR Master Series A90K range, which combines an OLED panel with the XR OLED Contrast Pro, a technology that enhances color and contrast in bright areas. It also features the Cognitive Processor XR and will be available in 42-inch and 48-inch sizes.
Sony X95K
Sony finally debuts Mini-LED technology, something we’ve seen from other manufacturers. The flagship model is the X95K, a television that will come in three sizes: 65, 75 and 85 inches.
Among some of its features we find the XR Cognitive processor and X-Wide Angle technology, which minimizes reflections and improves viewing angles.
Sony has not confirmed the price or availability of these models in different markets, but we will update this note as soon as we get the information.
