This Wednesday, 50% of the population vaccinated with at least the first dose was reached, more than 24 million people. There are already more than 24 million people who have at least the first puncture.

The vaccination rhythm continues, even so, at a good speed that, if maintained, would allow reaching 70% of the population inoculated with the complete schedule before the end of the summer, a percentage that coincides with the moment in which a society reaches group immunity, according to experts.

As a result of this good rhythm, last week the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, set a date for the end of one of the most symbolic measures of the pandemic: the use of the mask outdoors. It will be on June 26.

Other neighboring countries, such as France, have also adopted that decision in recent days. “Our streets, our faces will regain their normal appearance in the coming days. We will thus return to enjoy a life on the street without a mask,” celebrated the president, who has convened an extraordinary Council of Ministers this Thursday for the approval of the measure .
