Spain exceeds 700 cases of incidence after adding 61,625 new infections since Friday

Spain reaches 700 cases of cumulative incidence per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, after adding 61,625 new infections over the weekend. The incidence rate continues to rise, however, at a much slower rate. The measures that have been put in place in some autonomies are beginning to bear fruit, however, Primary Care as well as the occupation in intensive care are still in tension.

Murcia joins the new restrictions and will restrict meetings and social gatherings from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. In addition, it will request the TSJ of Murcia to increase the period granted to the limitation of the right of assembly to a maximum of ten people who do not live together.

The debate on using the mask outdoors continues. According to experts, wearing it or not is an insufficient strategy if it is not accompanied by other restrictions in what are considered sources of contagion: nightlife, interiors and massive social gatherings.
