In these recommendations we assume that you have already verified the content available on Star Plus. But if you haven’t done it yet, you can get an idea in our articles with the best movies and series available on the platform.

Star Plus without free trial

One of the biggest disappointments for users is that Star Plus was released without the traditional free trial period that other platforms tend to use. streaming, as has happened with other services, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime or HBO Max.

In this way, if you want to try the service, you must purchase at least one month of the standard subscription or the Combo Plus, which also gives you access to Disney Plus, the sister platform of Disney Plus.

Disney had already implemented this measure in other markets with Disney Plus, such as the United States and Europe, where since 2021 it was also not possible to access a free trial period.

If you are a Disney Plus user

If you are already a Disney Plus subscriber, you will want to know how much you will pay for Star Plus and see if it is convenient for you to add it as part of your services streaming. The most convenient option is to contract the Combo Plus, a promotion that groups the two services in a single account and that can only be contracted on a monthly basis:

  • If you have a monthly subscription to Disney Plus: you must pay the difference between your account and the value of the Combo Plus. For example, if you live in Mexico, you will have to deduct the 159 pesos that you already pay from Disney Plus to the 249 pesos from the Combo Plus, with which you will only pay 90 pesos per month to access Star Plus.
  • If you have an annual subscription to Disney Plus: your account is prorated over twelve months and you will owe the difference between that amount and the price of the Combo Plus. For example, in Mexico, the annual subscription of 1,599 pesos is divided into 12 months, which gives 133.25 pesos, so you must supplement with 115.75 per month to access the Combo Plus.

If you are not a Disney Plus user

In case you do not have Disney Plus contracted – and you are not interested in subscribing either – Star Plus offers two subscription mechanisms: monthly and yearly.

Regardless of the country in which you are, the best alternative is to hire the annual plan, with which every month you will have a monthly saving of 20 percent in relation to the monthly plan.

The only thing you should keep in mind is that if you choose this path, you will only be able to cancel the service once the annual billing period expires.

Choose a direct payment method

Subscription to Star Plus

Choosing a direct payment method -such as a credit card- is the best option to contract Star Plus, instead of a third-party platform such as Google Play or PayPal.

This is because in case you need a refund or have a problem with billing, the helpdesk can directly resolve your concerns.

Otherwise, you will have to resort to the platform that managed the payment, which could delay a solution to your problems.

Verify that your device is compatible

Fire TV Stick 4K are one of the Star Plus compatible devices.

Although Star Plus is compatible with most phones, tablets and smart TVs, before subscribing it is never too much to verify that you can install the application on your device.

If you already have Disney Plus, it is unlikely that you will have a problem using Star Plus, but if it is your first time, we suggest you check the list of supported devices.
