Teaser anticipates the sinister return of Chucky to the screen | Digital Trends Spanish

The most famous devil doll in the cinema is back. At least, now it will do so on television, in the form of a series and through eight chapters that will be released on October 12 in the United States.

The information has been disclosed in an article from Entertainment Weekly, where its director Don Mancini, who worked as a screenwriter on the original film, was interviewed.

The protagonist is a 14-year-old teenager who makes sculptures with different parts of dolls. According to Mancini, the young man “finds Chucky at a street sale and buys him, but realizes that he has bought much more than he thought.”

Part of the cast will be made up of Teo Briones, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Björgvin Arnarson, Lexa Doig and Devon Sawa, while Brad Dourif will provide the voice of the sinister doll.

“One of the things that we are most proud of, and that I think makes the saga something unique, is that we have relatively maintained consistency and narrative coherence throughout 33 years, 7 films and now 8 episodes”, affirms its director.

“I think it’s one of the things our fans like the most about the series. I ended Cult of Chucky with a series of deliberate cliffhangers because I knew that a television series would be the ideal place to develop those ramifications. “

Finally, the director anticipated that there could be more seasons of this series depending on the reception it has among the viewers, while SYFY has taken the opportunity to release a short teaser as a preview.
