Bandai Namco’s Southeast Asia division took the Elden Ring story to another level. Or, rather, adapted for a television commercial the dark digital fantasy with scenes from everyday life.
The result of the experiment carried out in Thailand is as strange as it is unusual, very different from what the director and designer Hidetaka Miyazaki and the novelist George RR Martin, the brains behind the role-playing title, surely imagined.
In the spot, it is the members of a family who, in different corners of their home, relive the adventures of the Lands Between kingdom. For example, it is during lunch that the actions are detonated, with the destruction of the Elden Ring, the dispersion of its fragments and the disagreement of the children.
While the audiovisual piece is quite dramatic, there are amusing references to the ring. The most attractive character, without a doubt, is that of the youngest who returns home from what seems like a long journey, shortly after remembering a childhood of epic battles and imaginary dragons.
Developed in Japan by FromSoftware and released globally at the end of February 2022, Elden Ring is available now for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S users.
