The Walking Dead definitively culminated its filming. After 12 years, the successful series finished filming its final episode. While there is still time for fans to see the last chapter, the cast members expressed their sadness for this day of recording.
“That’s it. 11 seasons, 12 years. He had never been so beat up and it was an absolute stunner. Thank you to everyone who took this journey with us, and what a journey it was,” Norman Reedus, the actor behind Daryl Dixon, wrote on his Instagram account.
For her part, Angela Kang, one of the scriptwriters of the series, published a video on her social networks where she appears with Lauren Cohen, who played Maggie in fiction. “Last day of shooting The Walking Dead. Thank you to everyone who sent well wishes to those of us working on the show today. It has been an amazing journey,” he wrote on the platform.
The actress was also moved and thanked the team in charge of the production for carrying out these 11 seasons that made The Walking Dead in a successful product that motivated the realization of several parallel projects. “I don’t have the words at the moment, but I want to raise my glass for the team of The Walking Dead. Thanks. 11 seasons. My heart is full,” she noted.
For its part, the official account of the series on Twitter confirmed that the one on March 30 corresponded to the last day of recording.
“Today [30 de marzo] it’s the big day! The shooting of The Walking Dead it is coming to its end. It’s been an amazing 12 years and we hope all the amazing cast and crew have a fantastic farewell day! The Walking Dead forever!” the account mentioned.

The last part of season 11 of The Walking Dead It’s coming sometime this year. Although this cycle will mark the end of the series, it will give way to other parallel projects and new productions, some of them focused on Negan, Maggie, Carol and Darly.
