The Apple Car would come without a steering wheel and without a brake pedal | Digital Trends Spanish

Unexpected revelations about the apple car they came to light thanks to Wayne Ma, writer and analyst of Information, who published an in-depth report today about the design that the autonomous car would have.

The latest vehicle design is said to feature four inward-facing seats, allowing passengers to have face-to-face conversations with one another, along with a curved roof that resembles the roof of a Volkswagen Beetle.

The report states that Apple designers are also experimenting with a trunk compartment that rises for easy access, then automatically lowers when not in use. Likewise, designers are said to have discussed large seat back screens that go up and down.

But perhaps most novel would be that according to The Information, the Apple Car “aims to obtain exemptions from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the United States to free a vehicle without a steering wheel and a brake pedal. Interestingly, the report claims that Apple has even discussed allowing passengers to lie down and sleep in the vehicle.”
