Apple could be working on a series of the most interesting features for its smart watch, Apple Watch.

At least that’s what journalist and leaker Mark Gurman of Bloombergwho ensures that the device could have new health sensors, as well as satellite connectivity.

The possibility of satellite communications would help the authorities to detect the user directly, even if they were unconscious and there was no data connectivity in the area.

Those in Cupertino would also be working on a system through which users could notify the emergency services of risk situations such as car, boat or plane accidents, so that they can mobilize before even a distress signal is launched from the scene of the incident.

Previous reports already reported that Apple could be working on implementing satellite communication on the iPhone, which would help users in rural areas where coverage is sometimes poor. However, the iPhone 13 was released in 2021 without that feature.

More health sensors, including fertility

In addition to this, Gurman assures that Apple is working on the development of a new sensor that detects the user’s blood pressure, notifying even hypertension values, as well as a sensor measuring blood glucose levels. These features will take a long time to arrive, in fact analysts do not expect them to be ready until at least 2024.

However, other options could arrive before the Apple Watch. For example, they say there will be new health features related to physical activity, sleep, medication management and some special features for fertility, such as a body temperature meter.

At the moment this information is not official, so although it is very interesting, we must take it with caution.
