The director of Highways of the Government of Murcia is dismissed after being arrested for prevarication

The general director of Highways of the Murcian Government, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, also president of the PP of Alguazas, has been dismissed by the regional Executive, as published by The Truth and has been able to confirm elDiario.es. Fernández Lladó has been arrested this Wednesday for his alleged relationship with a plot of scams in the Sangonera prison, according to elDiario.es.

The police investigation in which Fernández Lladó is involved, the regional Executive has pointed out, “is incompatible with the ethical demands of the regional government,” according to La Verdad. The former Director General of Highways has been released and is awaiting trial

On Monday, the agents had arrested the chief of service of the aforementioned prison for his alleged participation in a network of payments by prisoners to officials to enjoy privileges in the center that are prohibited to inmates, such as celebrating parties or ‘face to face’ with prostitutes.

In this second phase of arrests, an official from the Alguazas City Council has also been arrested, a town where he was mayor of the Fernández Lladó Popular Party until 2015, the date on which he was appointed Director General of Roads by the Government of the Region.
