The Fallas of the pandemic, without public in the street and in search of spectators

Next week the COVID Fallas will be celebrated, a celebration that has been pending since March 2020 and that will be conditioned by the measures against the coronavirus. Thus, public events -such as the offering- will be held with a mask and without a public presence on the street, in addition to restrictions, such as the limitation of capacity or the advancement of the ‘cremà’ by two hours in order to comply with the curfew , valid between 1:00 am and 6:00 am until Monday, September 6.

However, the Fallas events in the city of Valencia can be followed through the small screen by À Punt Mèdia. Valencian public television is finalizing the details to broadcast, between August 30 and September 5, the acts of a completely unusual calendar due to the pandemic. “These September Fallas can be enjoyed wisely from home due to the limitations of the curfew,” they have pointed out from ÀPunt: “The objective is” to experience the Fallas in the front row in the safest way possible. ”

The programming will include, from Wednesday 1 to Sunday 5 September, the broadcast of the mascletades scattered throughout the city of Valencia, starting at 1:00 p.m., led by journalist Ferran Cano. On Wednesday, September 1, the plant of the failures and the Nit de l’Alba with the fireworks castles from 10pm. The ‘Bona vesprada’ program and the news programs will also offer all the news with the winners of the pardoned ‘ninots’ and the prizes for the best fallas in the Special Section.

The offering, which this year opens a tour of the works in the Plaza de la Reina, will be closed to the public and regulated to guarantee sanitary measures for COVID-19. Presented by Clara Castelló, Gemma Juan and Ferran Cano, the offering will be on Friday 3, from 4:00 p.m. to midnight and Saturday 4, in the morning, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will also continue for afternoon and evening.

The ‘cremà’ of the fallas will be broadcast on Sunday 5 from 9:00 p.m. with a special program with Màxim Huerta, Ferran Cano, Joan Espinosa and Maria Fuster.
