Well, indeed, on February 13, while the Super Bowl was being held, Amazon Studios gave us the first glimpse of its long-awaited series, of which we had only been able to see a few frames so far.
This preview does not reveal anything about the plot of the series, but in it we can see the huge cast of characters that it will have as well as the scenarios in which it will take place, very similar to those that set the film trilogy.
Amazon has also revealed the name of the seven main characters of the series that should arrive on September 2 on the platform. The characters are Prince Durin IV (Owain Arthur), Princess Disa (Sophia Nomvete), Elrond (Robert Aramayo), Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), Arondir (Ismael Cruz Córdoba), Bronwyn (Nazanin Boniadi), and Halbrand (Charlie Vickers).
According to previous reports, an important part of the story will revolve around the character of Galadriel and the plot takes place thousands of years before the events narrated in The Hobbit and in the trilogy The Lord of the rings. At this point, the Dark Lord Sauron will try to trick the Elves into helping him forge the Rings of Power, magical jewels that he will later deliver to the different races of Middle-earth in order to manage them as he pleases through the One Ring.
