‘The good boss’ and ‘Parallel mothers’ triumph at the Feroz Awards

The comedy film ‘The good boss’ directed by Fernando León de Aranoa and ‘Madres paralleles’ by Pedro Almodóvar have co-starred in the Feroz Awards, each winning three statuettes at a gala in which the series ‘Venga Juan ‘, which has won three of the four awards to which it aspired.

In this ninth edition, presented by the comedians Nacho Vigalondo and Paula Púa, the winners were able to receive, after the award, the applause of the fans who were waiting for them in front of the Zaragoza Auditorium, which hosted a relaxed gala this Saturday in which the guests have enjoyed a dinner at round tables.

The president of the Association of Cinematographic Reporters of Spain, which awards the awards, María Guerra, thanked in her speech the presence of the political faces -such as the ministers Iceta and Díaz- by “demonstrating that the Spanish audiovisual matters and the commitment to the culture is firm and deep.

‘Parallel Mothers’ has won the statuettes for best supporting actress in a film, with Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, best poster, by Javier Jaén, and best original music (Alberto Iglesias). ‘The good boss’ has been the best comedy film, has won the award for best leading actor in a film, with Javier Bardem, and the best screenplay, for Fernando León de Aranoa.

‘Venga Juan’, created by Diego San José, has won the award for best comedy series; In addition, he has collected two more awards, the best leading actor, with Javier Cámara, and best supporting actress, with María Pujalte.

In the case of feature films, in addition to those already mentioned, ‘Maixabel’, produced by Koldo Zuazua, Juan Moreno and Guillermo Sempere, has received the 2022 Feroz Award for best dramatic film and best supporting actor (Urko Olazabal). Rodrigo Cortés has been recognized with the best direction for ‘El amor en su lugar (Love Gets a Room)’; and the best leading actress was Petra Martínez (‘Life was that’). In the series section, the best dramatic series was ‘Cardo’, ‘by Claudia Costafreda and Ana Rujas, the latter also receiving the award for best leading actress in a series. The best supporting actor of a series has been Enric Auquer (‘Perfect life’).

Likewise, the Feroz Cinetools Award for the best trailer has been won by Miguel Ángel Trudu, for ‘La granny’.

In the documentaries and independent film section, the Feroz Outburst of Fiction, for ‘Sedimentos’, by Adrián Silvestre and the Feroz Outburst of Non-Fiction Award, for ‘Espíritu santo’, directed by Chema García Ibarra. In addition, Cecilia Bartolomé, who has received the Feroz de Honor 2022, has made the entire public stand up to applaud her for being a pioneer in the sector, vindictive and defender of freedom and equality for women with her cinema.
