The Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Group), together with the Ministry of Environment (Miaambiente) and the Panama Maritime Chamber (CMP), will hold the virtual forum “Towards a sustainable blue economy in Panama: Challenges and opportunities “, on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 10:00 am

The fundamental idea of ​​the blue economy is that companies are efficient when it comes to producing goods and services, as well as that all waste and waste are reintroduced back into the economic process as raw materials for other products, instead of ending up contaminating the environment. sea.

The event, which will take place via Zoom, will have the participation of the international spokesperson, Michael B. Jones, President of TMA BlueTech, the non-profit industry association and organizer of the largest BlueTech cluster in the United States (USA), who will present initiatives and success stories of “blue economy”That can be replicated for the country.

Additionally, experts from the public sector will participate in a panel about the vision of a “blue economy” policy for Panama.
