The judge orders provisional prison without bail for the detainee in Santovenia

The Investigating Court number 4 of Valladolid, acting as a guard, has ordered a provisional prison, communicated and without bail for the detainee in Santovenia who allegedly killed a man, seriously injured a civil guard and held a hostage for hours.

According to the Superior Court of Justice, the case is open for a crime of homicide or consummated murder and another in the degree of attempt, illegal detention, attack and illegal possession of weapons.

The man, whose identity responds to the initials PS, barricaded himself with a hostage after allegedly killing a 45-year-old man with a shot at 01:43 am on Friday in a portal on Alfredo Martín street in the aforementioned town.

During the operation mounted by the Civil Guard, the lieutenant colonel of the Special Intervention Unit (UEI) of the Armed Institute, Pedro Alfonso Casado, was also seriously injured, who received another shot from the detainee at one point in the operation.

The lieutenant is “stable within gravity” in the ICU of the Clinical Hospital of Valladolid, after having been operated on for two hours on Friday.

On Saturday morning, the Civil Guard has brought ‘El Chiqui’ to court this morning after yesterday he allegedly killed a man, seriously injured a lieutenant colonel of the Civil Guard and barricaded himself for twelve hours with a hostage in the Valladolid town of Santovenia de Pisuerga.

However, the Court has agreed to extend the detention since he had to be transferred to the hospital when he was already in court and moments before testifying before the judge, according to sources from the Delegation and the TSJCyL.
