The National Police arrested Poli Díaz this Wednesday in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, after a patrol went to Zárate, the neighborhood where he has lived for a long time, alerted by neighbors, who warned 091 that they heard blows and a loud discussion in the house.
A witness to the events informed the police that she had seen the former athlete’s partner go out naked on the street, shouting that her partner had hit her.
The patrol that went to the scene could prove that the woman had bruises and that she was still bleeding from her lips. Quickly, the agents managed to locate the boxer around the house, and he was detained without resisting. At the same time, the woman was transferred to the Hospital Insular de Gran Canaria to receive health care and the injuries could be documented.
This is the second time that Poli Díaz has been arrested in recent months. On May 4, he was arrested when he went to renew his DNI when a request in force issued by the Criminal Court number 30 of Madrid weighing on him for a crime of injuries.
