According to these same sources, the robbery with force would have happened this weekend and the workers of the monastic community archive are evaluating the stolen material to report the facts, although the first checks suggest that the thieves have not taken any relevant documentation . The Central Historical Heritage Unit will take charge of the investigation once the value of the stolen historical documentation is determined.

Since 1981 the archive of the former president of the Generalitat Josep Tarradellas has been kept in this monastery, which contains documentation on the exile of Tarradellas during the Franco regime as well as the Civil War and the reestablishment of the Generalitat.

According to The vanguard, the assailants entered the monastery after forcing a back door. Then they forced a window on the ground floor of the archive and, once inside, they broke into the safe located on the third floor that contained documentation of the former president. In the safe there is also a handwritten book by Josep Maria de Sagarra and the folder that the exlehendakari Íñigo Urkullu left with material on his role in the procés. According to the workers quoted by ACN, the thieves have left documentation scattered on the floor.
