The Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating the “violent death” of a two-year-old boy who was found dead in a hotel room in the Sants-Montjuïc district of Barcelona this Tuesday night, the Catalan police reported in a release.
According to the Ser Catalunya chain, the boy arrived at the hotel with his father, who was separating from his mother and who supposedly sent him messages warning her that he would “regret it.”
The Catalan police are carrying out “steps to find out who was responsible” for the events and clarify the circumstances of the death, of which notice was received through a call to 112, sources from the Mossos have informed Europa Press.
The first to go to the scene were agents of the Urban Guard, around 10:30 p.m., and then the Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) came.
The criminal investigation division of the North Metropolitan Police Region of the Mossos has taken charge of the investigation, under the tutelage of the Investigating Court on duty in Barcelona.
The judge has decreed the secrecy of the proceedings. At the moment there are no detainees.
