The spokeswoman for the PSOE in the Senate, Eva Granados, has summoned this Tuesday the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, to say “what he intends to do” with the mayor of Marbella and ‘popular’ senator, Ángeles Muñoz, after the information that points to the award of contracts in the City Council of the city of Malaga with the use of funds transferred by the Andalusian Government to a company related to her husband.

“We would like to know what Feijóo thinks about information that we believe is very serious, he who came with that idea of ​​moderation, when he is silent in the face of important information about alleged corruption in the Marbella City Council, to say what he plans to do with the senator and mayor” , Granados has proclaimed at a press conference from the Upper House.

Last week, the mayor of Marbella herself pointed out that the legality of the City Council’s contracting processes has not been questioned “not for a single minute”.

When asked by journalists about the contracts awarded by the Consistory to a company related to her husband, Muñoz pointed out that “neither for the Prosecutor’s Office nor anyone from the City Council, nor a councilor, nor I as mayor, nor the Contracting Area, the Economic Area, not even for Intervention have these contracts been in question, less for the PSOE”.

María Ángeles Muñoz is in her third term as mayor of Marbella. The case reached the Supreme Court, promoted by the Prosecutor’s Office, but the High Court rejected any responsibility of Muñoz in the events.
