The next president of the Zarzuela Hippodrome has a degree in Information Sciences, a diploma in Business Communication from the European Institute of Health and Social Welfare and an expert in Institutional Relations and Protocol from the Distance University (UNED).
Ruiz Mateos is going to replace Francisco Salazar, who has just been appointed Secretary General for Political Planning in the Cabinet of the President of the Government. Salazar, who was appointed president of the racecourse a year ago, has returned to Moncloa after his brief period in the public company, in which he ended up after his dismissal as deputy director of the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Government, in parallel to the departure of Iván Redondo as director of Pedro Sánchez’s cabinet.
Ruiz Mateos left the party’s communication department after the changes made by Pedro Sánchez in his Federal Executive and after the resignation of Adriana Lastra, with whom she was very close, as deputy general secretary of the PSOE.
The Zarzuela Hippodrome, a state company that has never been profitable and that manages that emblematic and loss-making venue in Madrid, will once again be managed in this way by a profile close to communication.
