EA and Maxis announced a new step in creating more real and even more inclusive experiences in The Sims 4. Later this month, a new sexual orientation feature will be available for the base game in a free update, introducing a new customizable way for Sims to experience attraction and giving players more freedom to control how they behave. they play.
Arriving simultaneously with the High School Years expansion pack, as an update to the base game, players will be able to find a new sexual orientation feature within the “Create a Sim” menu, which will allow Sims to experience attraction in a variety of ways: same or different sex attraction, experiencing attraction naturally through interactions with other Sims over time, feeling physical but not romantic attraction and vice versa, or not feeling attraction at all.
2Inclusion has been a core value of The Sims since the franchise began 22 years ago, and the diverse development team proudly presents this new feature as a way to reflect the world we live in, the ways we interact with one another with others and act out real-life experiences. The Sims team understands that sexual orientation is vital, complex and inherent for people to experience the world and find community. In consultation with the non-profit organizations It Gets Better and GLAAD, The Sims 4 has created a detailed and affirmative option for players to experiment with different forms of sexual orientation for their Sims.
