The Spanish Medicines Agency announced this Tuesday that it had authorized the pharmaceutical company Hipra to carry out phase 3 trials of the vaccine against Covid-19 that it is developing.
Phase 3 is the last round of testing before applying for authorization to market a drug.
Hipra began phase 2 trials in November which consisted of testing the vaccine on 1,000 volunteers in ten hospitals in Spain.
Hipra It has communicated on its website that it plans to be able to produce 600 million doses in 2022 and double that figure the following year.
