The U.S. Embassy begins English course in Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro

The U.S. Embassy (USA) in Panama started a program of English courses aimed at the population of Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro, who works in the tourist and agricultural sectors.

More than 100 people will participate in this training in English, and were convened with the support of the Center for Competitiveness of the Western Region of Panama, founded by Chiriquí Chamber of Commerce (Camchi), la Panamanian Association of Business Executives (Apede) and the Pro-Chiriquí Foundation.

This virtual program, funded by the US Department of State, It will be taught by a specialist teacher in the teaching of the English language, who will teach ten hours of classes per week from the US and will run until February 11, 2022.

It is a virtual program, executed by the Regional Office of the English Language and the Office of Civil Affairs of the US Embassy in Panama, seeks to deepen the knowledge and perfect the communication skills in the English language of Chiricanos and Bocatoreños to promote economic growth in western Panama, which will strengthen talent and job opportunities in the tourism and agricultural sectors, especially during the economic recovery post-pandemic.
