The Witcher is getting a full remake on Unreal Engine 5 | Digital Trends Spanish

CD Projekt Red has announced a remake of the first game in the series The Witcher from scratch, built with Unreal Engine 5. Polish studio Fool’s Theory will develop the game and there are franchise veterans involved in its production. CD Projekt Red provides full creative oversight for the game.

Earlier this month, CD Projekt Red revealed the codename for a “complete” The Witcher game, “Canis Majoris,” and that it would be developed by a third-party studio. CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Canis Majoris was the code name for this remake project.

CD Projekt Red has several other new projects in development, including two more games set in The Witcher universe, a new Cyberpunk game, and a completely original IP. No other details about the remake were provided. The Witcherbut CD Projekt Red says it will take a while.
