The best places to land in Fortnite

To help you decide where to start each game, we have the best and ideal places to land with your parachute on the game map. Currently, at the time of chapter two, season seven.

This season features big changes to the map of Fortnite and has many NPCs (non-playable characters) scattered around to provide you with missions, along with the inclusion of aliens. The map has not changed substantially, but there are many points of interest where you will want to set your eyes during this season.

Satellite Stations

Among the main new additions are the satellite stations distributed around the map. These structures house a number of items, including basic loot, metals, IO guards, and IO chests. Although the loot and materials are worth getting, the main reason you should stop at these places is because of the equipment you can get from IO chests.

These typically provide you with much more valuable loot than what you would get in typical chests. Once you have your gear, you can use one of the nearby launch pads at each satellite station to migrate to a different area, depending on the area. Choose a satellite station that suits your style of play. For example, if you are an aggressive player, you should have no problem visiting the station at Corny east of Weeping Woods.

In the mountains south of Catty Corner

This landing site is aimed at those who like to be out of the way while gathering lots of building materials and loot. Land on the top of the mountain next to the ice cream truck and get all the loot you find in your path. You will find weapons, ammunition, armor and other accessories that will help you survive.

Afterward, proceed to the cabin in the woods to the east. Here, you can stock up on wood and other materials. Afterward, head east towards the C-shaped beach to collect stone and more loot. The thing to keep in mind is that you should pay attention to the storm, as it is very easy to get caught there while looking for supplies.

Corny Complex… complete

Another new addition this season is Corny Complex, which replaces Colossal Crops. This is a high-risk, high-reward area that will likely be busy despite the Battle Bus path at the beginning. What’s great about this area, in addition to the number of buildings there, is the fact that the barn in the middle has an underground bunker with even more equipment to obtain.

After you’ve obtained the loot, it shouldn’t be a problem to get to the next area as Corny Complex is close to the center. But be careful, because other teams might have the same idea.

West Beach House

The beach house on the west side of the map, just southwest of Believer Beach, offers you the best of both worlds. Not only is it out of the way enough to allow you to gather all the loot for yourself, but it also includes a sports car in the garage that you can use to get out safely.

There will always be an off-road mode near the car, so use it to upgrade your vehicle before you escape. We also recommend looting the whole house because there is a lot of useful equipment. And once you get in the car, drive north just down the path next to the house and you can get to the Slurp truck, which you can attack for full shields.

Island southeast of Misty Meadows

For more passive players, we recommend landing on the island southeast of Misty Meadows. This site will never be contested, and while the loot here isn’t the best, it is home to a flying saucer, which may be key to winning the game. Make sure to visit every building on the island, and when you’ve looted everything, climb onto the flying saucer to wreak havoc on your enemies.

In fact, you can use the ship to fast travel to the other areas to keep building up arsenal while you focus on upgrades for later games. The point is that you will be less likely to go down due to the storm if you are inside a flying saucer.

North Tower of Retail Row

The Towers have been around since Season 6, but with the release of Season 7, they have been upgraded to include better loot. Any of the Towers are worth visiting, and if you are lucky you will find multiple chests at the top. The one we like to visit frequently is located just north of Retail Row.

The main reason for this (besides being far enough out of the way, but somewhat close to the center) is because of the large number of buildings below the Tower. Once you’ve obtained loot at the top of the Tower, use the launch pad to easily fly down towards the buildings, giving you even more opportunities to collect loot while near the next area.

Bridge southeast of Corny Complex

This landing site is close to our previous Corny Complex recommendation, but it serves a different purpose. You are going to want to land here to accumulate a lot of building materials, which are useful, especially towards the end of the game. Along the bridge there are many chests and opportunities to find loot; just make sure you’re mining everything in your way to collect valuable resources.

Afterwards, once you’re done, head west towards the center of the map and you’ll run into Dusted Depot, which is right next to the large purple area. Here, you will be able to use an upgrade station to upgrade your weapons, which will help you get closer to a victory.
