They attack with macho graffiti a mural of the former player of Osasuna Mai Garde

The mural made by the urban artist from Pamplona LKN in tribute to the former captain of the Osasuna women’s team, who recently announced her retirement from football, has dawned this Wednesday attacked with several sexist graffiti against the former soccer player in which insults can be read ” feminazi” and whore” accompanied by two Nazi swastikas.

The former Osasuna player, a great reference in football and women’s sports in Navarra, has received a wave of support through Twitter. She herself has reacted to the image with a message on this social network: “How much remains to be done …”, she has lamented.

“Well, that girls, better at home washing and ironing, it will not be that you become warriors”, wrote the parliamentarian of Podemos Mikel Buil. “The most forceful of the rejections of that disgusting graffiti that shows that we still have to continue scoring many goals against the patriarchy,” wrote the general coordinator of the United Left in Navarra, Carlos Guzmán. From other political groups such as UPN or EH Bildu they have also sent messages of encouragement.

The act of vandalism has also even reached the Pamplona City Council, where, at the request of the PSN-PSOE councilor Xabier Sagardoy, a unanimous message of condemnation has been issued, as well as the commitment to remove the graffiti.

Finally, Club Atlético Osasuna has removed the mural with the graffiti and has repainted the wall where it was located, in the vicinity of the El Sadar stadium, where the club plays its home games.
