Those admitted with coronavirus in ICUs, at a minimum since the start of the pandemic


The Ministry of Health has registered 9,192 coronaviruses this Friday, a figure slightly higher than the 9,020 infections reported the previous Tuesday. The total number of people infected since the start of the pandemic now stands at 13,332,976.

By communities, Andalusia is the one that reports the most cases (1,460 cases), followed by Catalonia (1,384) and the Valencian Community, with 1,350 cases.

The deaths registered in the last seven days stand at 141, a figure higher than the 119 deaths last week, while the total number of deaths during the pandemic rises to 112,454.




As for the incidence in people over 60 years of age, the latest Health report reflects that it has decreased from 176.52 cases per 100,000 inhabitants on Tuesday to 161.99 this Friday.




The data regarding hospital pressure improve: those admitted with coronavirus stand at 3,510 this August 26, a figure lower than the 4,063 registered on Tuesday. In the ICU there are 241 patients – the lowest figure since it was recorded – and 3.06% bed occupancy, which translates into a drop compared to a week ago, where it stood at 3.53%.




On the other hand, Spain already has a total of 40,627,948 people with the complete schedule of the vaccine, that is, 92.8% of the population over 12 years of age is vaccinated.
