Three rockets are fired at US embassy in Baghdad

Three rockets were fired at the US embassy in Baghdad between Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, the Iraqi army reported, tafter a day marked by numerous attacks against North American interests, attributed to pro-Iranian groups.

The C-RAM defense batteries were activated during the night, AFP journalists confirmed, and the Iraqi army assured that none of the three rockets reached the diplomatic headquarters, although they affected sites near the ultra-protected Green Zone of Baghdad.
