A series of silent changes has been making TikTok in recent weeks, now courtesy of techcrunch It has been known that the app has been uploading more than a dozen mini-games on the platform.
There are nine games available as part of this initiative, which can be added to a video before it loads by using the ‘Add Link’ option and selecting ‘Minigame’. Viewers can play a linked game by tapping the link below their account username while a video is playing. When playing a game, there is the option to record the game and later publish it as a TikTok.
“We are always looking for ways to enrich our platform and regularly test new features and integrations that add value to our community. We are currently exploring bringing HTML5 games to TikTok through integrations with third-party game developers and studios,” a TikTok spokesperson said.
The launch of the pilot follows a report Reuters of that TikTok plans to make a “big push” into gaming.
