The Tocumen International Airport With an index of 91.93%, it was recognized by the specialized aviation sector analysis firm (Cirium) among the most punctual airports in the world, after evaluating the performance of punctuality at a global level during the year 2021.
On-time performance report Cirium is the industry standard for airline and airport operational performance.
This worldwide recognition is given to airlines and airports that have demonstrated an outstanding exercise in terms of “on time performance”.
The general manager of the Tocumen International Airport, Raffoul Arab, indicated that “the year 2021 was complex for the aviation industry, however, it marks the beginning of the recovery, where we continue to maintain the punctuality of our operations as one of the main differentiating factors, managing to once again demonstrate our ability to adapt to the new normal.”
This recognition “is a reward for the effort, dedication and commitment made this year by the entire human team that forms part of the Hub of Panama,” Arab highlighted.

Between January and November 2021 the Tocumen International Airport recorded 78,381 aircraft operations between departures and arrivals; reported that 19 commercial airlines have reactivated their operations with direct flights to 68 destinations in 31 countries in America, the Caribbean and Europe.
Cirium resumed reporting in June 2021 when flight volumes returned, with regular monthly updates helping gauge the industry’s performance in getting passengers from point A to point B on time.
Cirium’s on-time performance analysis is based on operational data from more than 600 real-time flight information sources. The company collects data from more than 25 million flights.
