Trailer for Three Pines by Alfred Molina and the mystery on Amazon | Digital Trends Spanish


It is always the picturesque towns that hide the darkest secrets. In Three Pinsthe new criminal series of Prime Video, the titular city appears to be perfect from the outside. When multiple bodies appear in the official trailer, Chief Inspector Armand Gamache soon discovers that the murders are part of a larger story.

Based on the New York Times bestselling series of novels by louis penny, the show stars Alfred Molina, who also serves as executive producer, as Armand Gamache, a clever detective called to the Canadian town of Three Pines to solve a murder case. After his arrival, more bodies turn up, raising questions about the suspicious circumstances surrounding each murder. As he digs deeper into the investigation, Gamache uncovers a larger conspiracy involving the Sûreté du Québec police force. Gamache learns that the police have not investigated the cases of missing and murdered indigenous women. Gamache says that it is his job to “find out what” the truth is.

To make matters worse, the town’s residents suspect Gamache and his team: Sergeant Jean-Guy Beauvoir (Rossif Sutherland), Sergeant Isabelle Lacoste (Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers), and Agent Yvette Nichol (Sarah Booth). Pierre Simpson, Frédéric-Antoine Guimond, Julian Bailey, Anna Tierney, Tamara Brown, Tantoo Cardinal and Clare Coulter complete the cast.

Emilia di Girolamo is the lead writer and co-producer of the Canadian series. Sam Donovan, Daniel Grou and the director of Mohawk GirlsTracey Deer, will direct episodes of the eight-part series. Three Pinscomes from Left Bank Pictures, which is best known for its work on The Crown Y Outlander.
