Trudeau calls snap elections in Canada on September 20




Prime Minister of Canada, Justin trudeau, called this Sunday to early elections the September 20, two years ahead of schedule.

Trudeau announced the date after visiting the Governor General Mary Simon, the representative of the Head of State, Queen Elizabeth, to formally request the holding of the elections.


The opinion polls they point out that the Liberals will win their third consecutive election, but may not win a majority in Parliament.

Trudeau’s party currently has only one minority of seats, so it depends on other parties to govern.
