TSX up on easing US debt ceiling worries; tech gains

Canada’s main stock index rose on Thursday, riding on an improving global mood that was lifted by hopes that Washington could resolve its debt-ceiling standoff, and technology stocks tracked gains in the Nasdaq.

At 9:32 am ET (1332 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was up 131.11 points, or 0.65%, at 20,322.77. (Reporting by Amal S in Bengaluru; Editing by Maju Samuel)
