Turkish Airlines will increase its flights to and from Panama to a daily frequency


The national airline of Turkey with based in Istanbul, Turkish Airlines, will increase operations to and from Panama, going from five weekly flights at a daily frequency, which confirms the confidence of the airline with the Panamanian market and its great potential growth as a business and tourism destination in Latin America.

Flights are operated by plane Boeing 787-900 “Dreamliner“, with capacity of 300 passengers, configured: 30 in business class and 270 in economy class, considered one of the most advanced aircraft for its fuel efficiency and maximum flexibility.

Raffoul Arab, general manager of the Tocumen International Airport, explained “that this excellent decision by Turkish Airlines allows us to continue with the reactivation of the tourism sector and the industry aerial. After the suspension of arrivals and departures of international flights in March 2020, Turkish Airlines resumed operations to and from Panama, on November 1, 2020 with two weekly flights; subsequently, as of July 12, 2021, it increased to 5 the services per week Istanbul – Bogotá– Panama – Istanbul.

The activities of the Tocumen airport are contemplated in the strategy of the National Government aimed at the recovery of the economy of the country under the leadership of the president Laurentino Cortizo and its Tourist Office.
