TVG will broadcast a special to celebrate the last visit of King Juan Carlos to Sanxenxo

Galician Television announces it as a “world premiere” and a “unique event”. It will broadcast this Monday at eleven at night in what the channel itself calls prime time. It is “a special program on the relationship between King Juan Carlos and Galicia”. All after, the public channel points out on its website, “from the recent visit he made to Sanxenxo with great media expectation”. And that he has earned him – this TVG does not say – political criticism and misgivings even in the Zarzuela Palace itself.

But none of that, nor his tensions with the Treasury or his dark relations with the monarchies of the Persian Gulf, will be central in Or my last will see in Sanxenxo. “A unique event in which you will be able to know all the details, many of them unpublished, of the king’s visits to Galicia”, assures the program’s promotion on social networks, “discover what really happened during the king’s visits to our land ”.

The emeritus monarch, father of the current King Felipe VI, strolled through Sanxenxo almost a month ago, an emblematic town in the Galician Rías Baixas and the epicenter of the most elite summer holidays. He did it without responding to Zarzuela’s requests that his return to the Peninsula, after two years in Abu Dhabi due to his problems with the Spanish justice system, be discreet.

“Beyond the protocol acts, in Sanxenxo he made spontaneous statements and showed the routines typical of his love of the world of sailing,” says TVG, which will also address the figure of Pedro Campos, his host in Sanxenxo.
