Twitter Shops debut with the promise of “plenty of space to shop” | Digital Trends Spanish

With the promise of “a lot of space to buy” Twitter Shops debuted, a new space in the microblogging social network dedicated to commerce. The newest member of the Twitter Shopping family was launched in beta version.

Thanks to this free-to-use feature, sellers can choose a collection of up to 50 products to display to potential buyers. The tool gives users the opportunity to view products directly on the profiles of their favorite brands.

When a merchant has Twitter Shops enabled, a “View shop” button will appear on their profile just above their tweets. Tapping the button will display your product catalog. And if you click on one, the website will open to obtain more information and make the purchase.

Unlike the current Shop Module, which is restricted to five products, Twitter Shops “provides merchants with a larger, fully immersive space to highlight a larger catalog of products,” underlined a blog article co-written by social network product manager David Lie-Tjauw.

At press time, only select merchant accounts had the feature enabled. They included Verizon, Arden Cove, Latinx in Power, Gay Pride Apparel and All I Do Is Cook. Only those who entered from the United States with the application in English and on an iPhone could see the offers.
