Two people injured in knife attack at Jerusalem bus station



At least two people They were injured on Monday in a new knife attack at the central bus station in Jerusalem, allegedly perpetrated by a 17-year-old Palestinian boy which has already been arrested.

The attack took place in one of the station’s shops, where a Border Police agent shot the alleged attacker, who is already being treated by medical services, reports ‘The Jerusalem Post’.

The Police have indicated that it would be a young man from the town of Hebron, in West bank, who is already under arrest along with two additional suspects. The two injured are also receiving medical treatment at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem, in stable condition.

Stabbing attempt

The attack comes hours after the Israeli Army reported the attempted stabbing of a soldier carried out by a young Palestinian with a screwdriver in the Gush Etzion settlement, in the West Bank.

Over the weekend, Israel’s security forces killed another allegedly responsible for a knife attack in the Old City of Jerusalem. During the assault, one of the Israeli troops was also injured in the leg.

During the early hours of this Sunday, the Army has also carried out a series of air strikes towards the Gaza Strip in response to two rounds of incendiary balloon launches by Palestinian militants toward the southern border in the past 24 hours.
