Streets flooded with water, overflowing streams, raised cobblestones, damaged cars between huge floods … the capital of Castile-La Mancha has suffered a good part of the incidents recorded by the episode of rains and storms that started last Tuesday afternoon. In the entire region, as reported by the 112 Emergency Service of Castilla-La Mancha, a total of 143 interventions have been required by the Emergency services of the Autonomous Community, almost all of them in the province of Toledo.
“It’s time to collect pergolas, awnings and flowerpots”: 48 hours of storms arrive in Castilla-La Mancha
Specifically, between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. Toledo has mobilized operations in up to 133 notices, in addition to eight more in Cuenca, one in Guadalajara and another in Ciudad Real.
Among the interventions, the operations have had to act in rescues, drainage of water and removal of objects from public roads. This is also shown by the social networks of the Toledo Fire Department, which have acted in different neighborhoods of the city that have been affected by the storm.
