Vueling recovers pre-pandemic activity with more flights in London, Paris and Spain


Vueling expects to recover activity levels this year prior to the pandemic thanks to the increase in international routes, with focus on london gatwick Y Paris Orly, and the consolidation of the domestic market. Vueling also maintains its commitment to the rest of the British airports, with five new routes from the United Kingdom to Paris Orly opened last November, and adds up to 24 connections to destinations in Spain, Italy and France. Thus, Vueling maintains direct links between Paris and Newcastle, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Cardiff during the 2022 summer season.

In France, specifically at Paris Orly airport, Vueling has significantly increased its capacity compared to 2019 thanks to the slots achieved. The airline plans to operate 50 routes this summer, which represents a great growth compared to the 11 routes available in the summer of 2019. Two unprecedented connections stand out, linking Paris Orly with Kiev (Ukraine) and the island of La Palma (Canary Islands).

In the rest of the international markets, Vueling plans to operate more than 220 connections for this summer, maintaining its presence in traditional markets for the airline such as Italy and the Netherlands. In the latter country, the new link between Amsterdam and Copenhagen stands out. Double offer of connections at Easter Vueling has scheduled for the Easter holidays, between April 8 and 18, 2022, more than twice as many routes as the same period in 2021. Specifically, the airline will operate 296 connections, 92 domestic and 204 international, and hopes that it will be a turning point in the recovery of tourism.
